"Community gardens" have sprung up across the US, fostering local connections, sharing knowledge, and increasing community members' access to fresh, healthy local produce.
In 2009, the Valley Community Garden (VCG) project was launched and has since donated hundreds of pounds of chemical-free produce to needy families and organizations. In teaching people to grow their own food, they've worked to "build community" in the best sense.
Join in this lecture and exciting discussion of what the "next four years" of the VCG can achieve as community members continue to work together--and learn how you can get involved.
