There are no meetings in the summer months to allow members to devote time to Civic Improvement, other special projects, and especially their own gardens. PROGRAMS — presented at the monthly meeting provide educational opportunities for members on a varying number of subjects from a wide variety of experts in their respective fields. MEMBERSHIP — is open to all residents (male & female) in the cities and townships, which collectively make up the region known as Mount Washington Valley. Dues are $20 per year for Active Members. The Flower/Home Garden Show raffles support MGC community projects. Not to be missed is our Winter Boutique which not only support our projects and activities, but also fund the Holiday decorations which we create and donate to adorn the public buildings throughout Mount Washington Valley.
The MGC also organizes special trips to museums and plant shows (as a member social activity) and is also actively involved in the “Garden Trails” program that takes place during the summer months.
The club is pleased to work with one elementary school each year to plant a “Memory Tree” with the local school children. We also support community beautification projects of public properties throughout the summer within the townships of the club. |
